Dog Nail Clippers
Just like us, dogs have nails that grow and need to be trimmed from time to time. If you don't ever trim your dogs nails, they will grow much too long and be very uncomfortable for your dog and might even make it difficult to walk. You don't want that to happen, so you need to make sure that your dog's nails are always properly trimmed. Some people have their veterinarian or groomer cut their dog's nails. But if you have the proper nail clippers you can do it at home by yourself and save money. You just need to know where to cut and where not to cut and you can do it on your own without having to take your dog somewhere and paying someone to do it. Think of your own fingernails, the part that extends past your finger is white and can be cut. The part of your nail that is still attached to your skin is skin colored, and if you tried to cut past that part it would hurt and rip your nail from your finger. Dog toenails are very similar. If you look closely you can see the white part at the tip and the pinkish skin colored part closer to their paws. Just make sure that you only cut the white tips and not the pink part - called the quick - and your dog will be just fine. If you do clip too far and cut the quick it will hurt your dog and cause it to bleed. This may sound intimidating but it really isn't. Once you do it on a few nails you will know just where to cut and it will be very simple for you. Now you can trim your dogs nails by yourself whenever necessary and not have to take a special trip to the groomers of vet's office and pay somebody else to do it. Once session of nail clipping can cost as much as it would to buy the nail clippers yourself so why not just buy the proper tool and do it yourself. Your dog trusts you more than the vet or breeder. That is why it is much easier and less stressful if you cut your dog's nails yourself compared to having somebody else do it.
