Dog Treats and Snacks
Just like humans, dogs don't like to eat the same thing all the time. It is nice to provide them with treats from time to time to reward them for good behavior or keep them occupied for a bit. If you want your dog to behave, hold a few treats in your hand and he will do whatever you want to try and get them from you. If you train your dog correctly he will want the treats so badly that he will behave and do what you say so that you will give them to him.
There are many different types of dog treats available for your pup. There are hard treats that are similar to hard dry dog food, and there are soft dog treats that are usually better smelling to dogs, making them more enticing to them as well as easier to eat. Some dog treats are formulated with special nutrition as health supplements for your puppy. Other types of treats are designed for purposes such as cleaning your dogs teeth and gums as well as freshening his breath and keeping his mouth clean. Most dogs will like certain treats over others, so it is best to try a few different brands and types that look good and are healthy and try them out on your dog. If your dog doesn't like a certain type of treat there are ways to get him to eat them. Sometimes if you break the treat apart the smell will be stronger and he will want to eat it. Or you can put some type of gravy or sauce on the treat to give it a little better of a taste for your dog, as well as adding to the aroma which will make him want it more. |
